When John Peck took the position of operations supervisor for the City of Croswell last year, safety was high on his radar. In his quest to take safety to the next level he began a conversation with Dallas Braun, general manager at Thumb Electric Cooperative. Ultimately, the dialog led to the City of Croswell joining MECA’s Safety program.
“We are really looking forward to having the City of Croswell on board,” said Joe McElroy, director of safety, MECA. “They are a small municipal looking to do the right thing.”
McElroy has already completed an on-site facility evaluation, provided program recommendations and delivered the first set of block training for the City.
The new partnership is a win-win. The City of Croswell will receive great training and it will be efficient for MECA to deliver because it can be conducted in joint sessions with Thumb Electric Cooperative.
