Great Lakes Energy (GLE) will again hold two energy seminars this fall to help their members learn about home heating and cooling options with geothermal and air-source heat pumps and the co-op’s Energy Optimization (EO) programs that offer incentives to help save energy. Incentives include rebates for buying furnaces with variable speed blower motors, heat pump water heaters, refrigerators, TVs, lighting, and more. In addition, information on EO programs that offer free appliance recycling and online audits will be provided.

Local heating and cooling companies and GLE staff members will be there to answer questions related to heat pumps.

The co-op will also hold a drawing to award energy-saving door prizes. The seminars are  Oct. 10, 10 a.m.- Noon at the GLE office in Newaygo; and Oct. 17, 10 a.m.-Noon at the Boyne City office.
