Join Cherryland Electric Cooperative and Wolverine Power Cooperative as they support the 3rd running of the Big Little Trail Races on Aug. 23 in Buckley, MI (southern Grand Traverse County). All proceeds go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Michigan and help serve about 300 kids in need of adult mentorship each year.
There is both a 5k and 15k course, and the routes are made possible by 25 private landowners. A unique combination of woods, two-track roads and open fields make great views on the trails, which are only open for this one day each year.
Click here to register online. Registration is $40 and includes a technical t-shirt and race bag if you register prior to Aug. 8. The race is for both adults and kids, but the first 60 kids (18 and under) to register run free, courtesy of a scholarship sponsored by DTE Energy.
