The inaugural “Illuminate the Night” festival took place on Friday, February 6th in downtown Adrian.

A section of South Main Street was closed to feature displays and performance art illuminated by light. The evening began with a light parade and featured a fire juggler, light projection on downtown buildings, music, illuminated art pieces and our Touchstone Energy Cooperative hot air balloon.

Hundreds of people got the opportunity to get up close and personal to the balloon which when inflated is 60′ x 80′ or about 7 stories tall. Braver spectators took a turn climbing into the basket for photos and to experience the propane-fired burners operating which heat the air inside the balloon. Check out more pictures online.
